Missouri State Humane Association
The “I’m Pet Friendly” license plate program was established through legislation to provide spay neuter programs throughout Missouri with funds to support their work.
Organizations and agencies performing spay neuter services in their respective communities have the opportunity to apply for grant funding provided by the funds collected from the “I’m Pet Friendly” license plate fees.
We, the Missouri State Humane Association (MoSHA) administer the program with the public by collecting fees and providing the necessary documents for individuals to get their license plates.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture oversees the grant process and distributes funds through a three person panel, appointed to review grant applications and award grants.
Applications may be submitted in January and February, due by the last day of February. Awards usually are made in July. Please click here for information and for grant applications.
